Are you passionate about creating content that inspires and connects our church community? Shepherd Church is looking for a creative Content Creator & Photographer to capture our story through photos and video. 

You’ll film and photograph key moments at services and events, then edit content using Adobe Creative Cloud tools like Premiere, Lightroom, and Photoshop. You’ll manage projects, schedules, and deadlines in Asana, collaborate with the Content Director to deliver high-quality content, and handle all gear, setups, and production for shoots.

Qualifications

  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • 2–5 years of experience in photography, videography, or content production.

  • 2 or more years of experience in café, coffee shop, restaurant, or food service management.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods while performing daily café operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and special church events as needed.
  • Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems (Toast) inventory management software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

In this role, you will assist with the operational needs of our café – process invoices, order office supplies, inventory and enter in new bookstore products, and help ensure our café is organized and ready to serve customers.

Overview

Shepherd Church is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Maintenance Worker to join our Building & Grounds Team! This role plays a vital part in ensuring our facility is functional, safe, clean, and inviting for everyone who visits.

As a Maintenance Worker, you’ll be responsible to execute a variety of maintenance tasks and repairs. The ideal candidate is dependable, hard-working, and committed to supporting the mission of Shepherd Church through excellence in facility care.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a service industry role and/or skilled trade
  • Familiarity with cleaning techniques, use of basic tools, and able to climb stairs/ladders/heights
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to confidentiality
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform physical labor both indoors and outdoors
  • Understanding of safety practices and basic building systems
  • Valid CA Driver's License

  • Flexible schedule required (weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays) between 7:00AM – 9:00PM

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors, being on your feet for 6-7 hours, and assisting with physical setup/tear-down, including moving signs, cones, stanchions, and other supplies
  • Ability to respond appropriately to safety concerns, incidents, and unexpected situations
  • Must be able to work weekend services and occasional special events
  • Valid CA Driver's License

Schedule: Primarily requires weekend hours (Saturday from 12pm - 8:30pm and Sunday from 7:30am - 2:00pm). Some hours during the week or for special events, as assigned.

Contracted Services:

We are looking for experienced live sound engineers for contracted work to support Shepherd Church’s live production needs! If you’re an experienced live sound professional who brings expertise, reliability, a commitment to great sound, and a desire to be part of something eternally meaningful, we’d love to connect with you. What we’re looking for:

  • At least 3 years of professional live sound experience, including significant experience mixing live bands across a variety of venues, productions, or events. House of worship experience mixing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Yamaha CL5, Yamaha DM7, and Behringer X32 consoles, as well as Dante audio networking and Q-SYS Designer Software, preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced live production environments, troubleshoot and solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to reliable, high-quality production from start to finish.

When you’ll be working: 

  • Weekends: As Needed. Saturdays 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. & Sundays 7:00 – 1:00 p.m.
  • Events: As Needed

Status and Compensation:

  • Independent Contractor Status. This position is classified as an independent contractor relationship under California law. The Contractor retrains full control over the manner and means of performing services, including methods, tools, and workflow. Nothing in this role is intended to create an employer-employee relationship. 
  • Compensation: Payment will be made upon submission of invoice by the Contractor in accordance with agreed-upon terms. Contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes. 
  • Responsibilities: Contractor is responsible for providing their own tools and equipment unless otherwise agreed and for maintaining any required licenses, insurance, and business registrations. 
  • Non-Exclusivity: Contractor is free to provide similar services to other organizations.
